Father's Day and Prayer

Hello everyone!!! Well, I guess I will speak for Tommy and say that he had a great Father's Day. Saturday night we went and watched Ocean's 13 at the theater and yes, we brought "the boy" with us. He was a little trooper and got the giggles while we were watching the movie. It was so funny!!! He eventually fell asleep; we had such a great time. Sunday we went out for lunch and then came home and took a long nap. Tommy really needed the rest, which brings me to the prayer part of this message. Tommy and I really covet some prayer from you all. Tommy has been struggling in his job here and has not had much time for anything. He works a lot and then has to plan the service on Sunday's. Sunday is a work day because he has many responsiblities at the church and then he has a family to spend time with as well. He really is working his tail off and I am so very proud of him. Although, I am worried because he has little time to spend at the feet of Jesus. He is longing for some time just to be a "Mary" and not a "Martha" if you know what I mean. Just lift us up that Tommy would be able to find a way to manage his time better and that I would try and be his helper the way God intended me to be. Thank you for praying!!!! Other than this we are doing well. The Lord is doing some amazing things in our hearts and in our church. God is revealing to us lately how blessed we are and he is teaching us how to be content in our circumstances. We love you all and hope that you have a wonderful week.

First Family Visit to the Zoo

Last Friday we had our first family trip to the Louisville Zoo. Tommy and I had been planning it for a while and finally the day arrived to go. Well, Caleb had no idea what was going on but Tommy and I were like little kids in a candy store. We really enjoyed just having a day out to do something fun and we really had a great time. Just being together as a family was such a special thing and we will never forget it. Having Caleb with us made me realize that we have a little boy. Don't get me wrong, I know that we have one, but it made it so real to see Tommy carrying Caleb on his shoulders and just goofing around with him. I love it!!! I am so thankful to God that He has blessed us with family!! I look at my boys daily and thank the Lord for giving me such precious people to take care and to love. God has given me such a great responsibiliy in taking care of them and spuring them on to be Godly men. I take that responsibility with such pride and joy; this is the best job that any wife and mother could have.

My first Mother's Day!

Well, Mother's Day was such a special day for me!!! I can't believe that I am actually a Mom. Tommy and Caleb gave me beautiful flowers on Mother's day. Caleb gave me a sweet card and Tommy wrote me a very thoughtful letter. In this picture, I just got through crying because everything was so sweet. Thank you my sweet boys!!!

This is my sweet boy that made this day so incredible for me. He is such a joy and I love him soo much. I thank God for giving me such a blessing in my life; being a mom is so much fun.
