Baxter Avenue Crew!!!!

This is our Baxter Crew! Here are just a few pics of our 2ND-5Th grade class on Wednesday night. Tommy and I were teachers in this class and now he is the head of discipline during the service because we needed it badly. Our church is an inner city church and sometimes we have some discipline problems. The kids are so precious though and we love working with them. I am teaching the class now and have a helper to help me out. We have been having 17 kids this summer and we are about to split the class. It is hard to keep 17 kids attention for a whole hour. We are about to start a new curriculum called God's Promises and hopefully use some Answers in Genesis curriculum as well. Any way here are some pics of the sweet kids.


This is Ryan with some of the guys. They are so much fun!!!

Here is a verse that we are having our kids memorize and I think they have it down. It says, "If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Praise God for that!!!!!! We are trying to put the gospel of Jesus in there hearts and I pray that their hearts are beginning to soften. Please be praying with us that the Lord will soften their hearts and that they will surrender their lives to Him. We truly covet your prayers.

Here are some of my sweet girls that are in my class. Most of my girls are going to the 6Th grade and they are about to take the big step of moving to middle school. They are a little apprehensive about that, and so am I. I pray that they will stay innocent and sweet. Please pray for that too.

So silly!!!

We are also having a slumber party for the girls in about 2 weeks at our apartment. We will be having bible study and doing lots of "girl stuff." Please pray that God will move in their hearts this weekend. July 11-12 Love you all and thanks for your prayers.

I miss my grandparents!!!!!!!!!

I had to hold Caleb down to eat this ice cream sandwich (yeah right)! I did this so that he would stay still enough to talk (called bribery) and it was a success. You are going to love this and it will melt your heart. Hope you enjoy!!!

Muscle Building!!!

Tommy is trying to teach Caleb how to bench press. He hasn't caught on yet but I think that it is so sweet. Hope you enjoy!!!

Cool Down Fun

Well, yesterday we went out to a community water fountain and let Caleb have a much needed cool down. Caleb had never played in a fountain before, and it took him about 15 minutes to like it but it he caught on real fast. He had a blast, except when he got splashed in the face by the other children. He didn't like that too much!! We really enjoyed ourselves and then went home to eat some wonderful tasting sausage and red gravy, with rice of course. HA!!!
